Facilitator: Jonny and Lou When: Tuesday 12:45PM - 3PM Where: Auditorium at SkillWise, plus 3 weekly offsite to various locations - confirmed at start of term Extra Fees: $2 per session Description: This class helps participants develop sport-related skills, fitness, and overall well-being through a combination of onsite and offsite activities. Onsite sessions focus on stretching, warm-ups, ball handling, games, circuit training, and trying new activities like short dance or aerobic sessions. Offsite, about every 3 weeks we will visit local facilities to explore where to try swimming, gym classes, and other exercise sessions, for example to Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre, QEII and other sport/fitness venues, plus try other activities such as 10 pin bowling and bush walks. Throughout the semester participants will build teamwork, confidence, and an appreciation for staying active.
You will learn: • Develop teamwork and collaboration skills through participation in sports and group activities. • Improve physical fitness and well-being by engaging in exercises, stretching, and circuit training. • Explore new physical activities and sports offsite, such as swimming, community based classes, and bush walks.
