What to Expect
Work on your own take-home textile projects like knitting, crocheting or sewing, or dive into a larger group piece if time allows. This supportive class encourages creativity and skill-building at your own pace.
What to Bring
Your own materials (yarn, fabric, needles, etc.)
Water bottle (optional)
What You’ll Learn
Textile Techniques: Basic stitches, threading, and safe tool use
Creativity: Experiment with fabrics, textures, and embellishments
Pattern Reading & Design: Follow or adapt simple patterns for functional or decorative items
Project Management: Plan and complete a take-home project by the end of the session

You will learn how to use different textile mediums and enjoy making things with your hands. You’ll be able to practice stitching, which helps improve hand control and focus. You can fix old clothes or turn fabric into something new and useful. Textiles is a calm and creative activity where you can use your own style, colours, and decorations. You’ll also be part of a group where you can share ideas, learn from others, and finish the class with a completed project to take home.
