What to Expect

What to Bring

  • Your own materials (yarn, fabric, needles, etc.)

  • Water bottle (optional)

What You’ll Learn

  • Textile Techniques: Basic stitches, threading, and safe tool use

  • Creativity: Experiment with fabrics, textures, and embellishments

  • Pattern Reading & Design: Follow or adapt simple patterns for functional or decorative items

  • Project Management: Plan and complete a take-home project by the end of the session

Benefits for You

You will learn how to use different textile mediums and enjoy making things with your hands. You’ll be able to practice stitching, which helps improve hand control and focus. You can fix old clothes or turn fabric into something new and useful. Textiles is a calm and creative activity where you can use your own style, colours, and decorations. You’ll also be part of a group where you can share ideas, learn from others, and finish the class with a completed project to take home.
