What to Expect

This class is for people who want to learn more about what having a job is like. You will talk about different types of jobs, what workers need to do, and how to get ready for work. You'll also learn how to deal with problems that might come up at work, and how to keep yourself and others safe.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn about different kinds of jobs and what they involve

  • Talk about your own skills and things you find hard

  • Talk about respecting other people at work

  • Learn about common work problems like running out of time, having disagreements, or not knowing what to do

  • Understand what can happen if we don’t follow work rules

  • Learn about health and safety at work

  • Create a simple CV (a paper that shows your skills and experience)

You’ll learn how to handle tricky situations at work and find ways to solve problems. You will grow your confidence and learn what makes a good worker.
