Outdoors
A pilot Adventure Based Learning Program for 2007/2008.
Skillwise introduced the Outdoors program in January 2007, participants where given a number of opportunities to experience outdoor recreation activities in the Christchurch region.
During 2007, three of the Outdoors group were also able to attend courses with
Outward Bound. It is anticipated that the program will continue to be a feeder for
this important growth and development program.
The Outdoors group aims to foster both a sense of environmental awareness and enjoyment of the great outdoors.
The program uses a variety of adventure learning options to foster self awareness, confidence, initiative and of course teamwork.
