Community Facilitator (Casual/Relief)

We are currently recruiting additional Community Facilitators for casual/relief work.

We are looking for people who are energetic, enthusiastic and committed team players.

Key skills and attributes for the role:


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to network with a wide range of people.
• Good facilitation skills.
• Previous experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability and mental health issues in a community environment would be helpful although not essential.
• The ability to work well under pressure and consistently manage their time in a flexible manner.
• Excellent computer skills.
• A commitment to making a positive difference.
• A clean driver’s licence and have access to a reliable car (mileage reimbursed).

The position is remunarated at a rate of $19.00 -$23.50 per hour dependant on qualifications and experience.

Art Coordinator - The White Room @ SkillWise (Full Time)

We are currently recruiting for this exciting position within our community team.


We are looking for a person who is energetic, enthusiastic and a committed team player. The Art Coordinator will plan, facilitate and deliver art groups and co-ordinate the day to day running of the White Room creative space. This will involve working with artists with an intellectual disability and non-disabled artists. The Art Coordinator will also play a key role in the delivery of the Department of Corrections Youth Art Project.

Key skills and attributes for the role:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to network with a wide range of people.
  • Good facilitation skills.
  • A background in the Arts or running a small business would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working with adults with an intellectual disability and mental health issues in a community environment would be helpful.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage time in a flexible and responsive manner.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • A commitment to breaking down barriers and creating positive social change.
  • A clean driver’s licence would be an advantage.

 

The position is remunerated at a rate of $19.00 -$23.50 per hour dependant on relevant Human Services qualification.
